Well, it was a blast!! The 3rd annual Southwest Idaho All British Field Meet that took place this past weekend, September 16-17, proved to be what it was forecast to be – two great events, one incredible British weekend.

We started out in McCall on Saturday, where the weather was slightly cool but not too windy. The folks who opted for the Payette Lake boat cruise enjoyed themselves on the 90-minute tour, a fun way to see a bit more of McCall than you normally do. The car show drew in a good-sized crowd, and everyone seemed to be quite interested in the 33 cars on display. We even had 4 friends, a couple from Oregon and a couple from Wyoming, who had heard about the show and decided to make it a McCall weekend by joining us for the car show with their Triumph TR250s. We were also fortunate enough to have some of our friends from PTOA and Tyee make the trip to join us – always a great time when they’re involved!

Special thanks go out to Lex and Donna Bernstein (McCall Auto Club) for facilitating this event and for their hospitality in setting up coffee and donuts for the participants, making everyone feeling comfortable and very welcome.

The fun continued the next day at the Village at Meridian with near-perfect weather. There was a total of 70 cars and 3 Triumph motorcycles on display. We had a fantastic turnout, and the participants and the general public were generous in their donations to the Meridian Food Bank to the tune of $2000 and several barrels of food. The MFB was very grateful to everyone, and they want to come back next year!

For an additional British flare, we were treated to the fun tunes of West Abbey Road, as well as enjoying the tasty ales and wines from Bodovino. We’d like to thank the Village at Meridian for their tremendous support in making all of this happen. It truly was an incredible weekend, one which we hope to repeat in 2018.
